This nationally recognized laboratory, is searching for a Senior Chemist to support our Pharmaceutical Product Testing group in Lancaster, PA.
Members of this group work in an individualized and/or team environment to test finished products (tablets, capsules, suspensions, gels, devices, and other novel dosage forms) using a variety of analytical methodology. Testing includes potency, purity, physical characteristics, and other properties. The majority of testing involves HPLC analysis, but use of other instrumentation is required.
The team serves a variety of pharmaceutical companies and the scope of projects falls within a wide range of the drug development process, from early phase development, to pre-clinical, through marketed products. Testing may support toxicology studies, formulation and packaging optimization, process validation, clinical use/supply, expiration dating/stability studies, release to market.
Senior Chemist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Perform HPLC, IC, GC, and dissolution for method transfers/validation/routine and nonroutine testing
Execute specialized analyses and method transfer and feasibility testing
Perform technical writing
Train staff and be accountable for leading specific project/test areas
Initiate and perform laboratory investigations; evaluate and trend sample data; interpret data
Inform clients of project status continually
Serve as an equipment system administrator
Some travel to client sites for technical meetings could be required
The ideal candidate would possess:
At least eight years of pharmaceutical chemistry experience
Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team with limited training or supervision, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
Basic Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in chemistry or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Position is full-time, 8a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or 2 p.m.-10 p.m., with addtitional hours when required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
