Estimator/Project Manager

LOOKING FOR TWO SEPARATE LOCATIONS: GEORGETOWN, DE & LANCASTER, PA
Purpose
The Estimator/Project Manager position reports to the Branch Manager and has total responsibility for the successful execution of the overall project from start to finish, ensuring safety and a profitable performance. This role is required to understand contracts and makes all related decisions. This role is also crucial for the development of our client base and the procurement of work.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assists in identifying upcoming projects & the preparation of bids
Assists with the review & issuing of Purchase Orders/Subcontracts
Participates in Pre & Post-Construction Meetings
Assists in the development of Project Staff
Organizes & oversees jobsite administration
Manages subcontractor schedules, quality of work, coordination with other trades & payments
Coordinates job cost-progress targets with production
Maintains weekly progress schedules/productivity & ensures their timely submission
Immediately advises branch manager if problems are anticipated or occur which will have an adverse impact on the job's profitability
Performs extras - only after proper written documentation is received from the Customer
Keeps current on all job paperwork such as daily log, cost studies, M & L releases, work releases, schedule changes, safety meeting notes, sign in sheets, etc.
Sets up site for best logistics & control (office, equipment, fab, storage, etc.)
Builds positive relationship with customer
Accurately reports weekly job control; request any assistance necessary
Ensures cost studies are performed daily
Develops & coordinates with field supervisor
Is the first line of contact with the General Contractor/Client
Creates & maintains a safe/secure jobsite environment
Ensure daily safety planning meetings are held by our people and attend customer safety meetings
Education, Training and Experience
High School Diploma, required
Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills, a must
Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills, a plus
Experience with JD Edwards, On-Screen Takeoff (OST) & Quick Bid (QB), a plus
Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
Must be detail oriented and technically accurate in all duties
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
