Quality Manager General Description:
The purpose of this position is to verify that all dimensions meet customer drawings and specification and to magnetize, stabilize and measure magnetic values per customer drawings and specifications.
Major Functions:
1.
Safety a.
Adhere to required safety precautions b.
Wear required PPE c.
Identify safety precautions for new equipment and processes d.
Optimize safety/minimize risk 2.
Read, understand and follow work instructions (WI) and process control standards (PCS) a.
Access Paradigm to review and/or print WI or PCS.
b.
Recommend revisions and updates to the WI and PCS.
3.
Interpret customer drawings a.
Verify the drawing part number matches the manufacturing router.
b.
Review the drawing to obtain specified dimensions ,features, tolerances and other customer requirements and record information as required.
4.
Set up Equipment a.
Select proper fixtures.
b.
Select appropriate program when running Smartscope.
c.
Select proper measuring equipment and calibrate as required (May include gauge blocks and pins) d.
Select the appropriate program when running the Magnetic Inspection Robot.
5.
Maintain Equipment a.
Clean and organize equipment and work area.
b.
Verify accuracy of all measuring equipment.
c.
Request reorder of consumables as needed.
6.
Operate Equipment a.
Micrometers b.
Indicators c.
Comparator d.
Smartscope e.
Microscope f.
Magnetizers g.
Ovens h.
Gauss meters i.
Helmholtz Coil j.
Hall Probes k.
Magnetic Inspection Robot 7.
Verify and accurately record data into ERP computer system, manufacturing router, logs, data bases and control charts as required by work instructions.
8.
Understand and adhere to the Calibration Program.
9.
Adhere to EEC Escalation Policy.
10.
Generates paperwork for nonconforming materials as required by quality system(s).
Accountability of Employees Use your best efforts and full capability to achieve the outputs assigned.
When circumstances make it likely that outputs cannot be achieved, or that more could be done, inform your manager in time for adaptive action to be taken.
Advise your manager when you have ideas you believe might be helpful.
Seek special dispensation from your manager when you are unable to work at your best.
