Responsibilities:
Greets and prepares patient for examination, and explains specific procedures to be performed.
Obtain necessary consents from the patients and verifies required lab values Responsible for IVs to administer contrast materials Accurately maintains patient imaging records, utilizing the radiology information system (R.
I.
S.
) and PACS/Synapse application in accordance to HIPAA, and company guidelines, policies and procedure Processes quality images under minimal direction and supervision.
Knowledgeable of process for transferring images into the PAC/Synapse computer system Prepares copies of images, preliminary reports, and contacts referring physician when required according to established procedures.
Maintains imaging equipment, work area, and ensures adequate supplies are available, follows all safety standards and uses radiation protection when operating CT equipment.
Builds effective working relationships with staff to deliver quality customer service to patients Minimum
Qualifications:
Graduate of an approved AMA Radiologic Technology or ARDMS program required or eligible within 1 year.
Current RVT certification required; ARRT (C) certification in CT preferred and required within one (1) year of hire CT and ultrasound experience preferred Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred Proven ability to effectively communicate technical procedures and results with patients and providers Skilled in properly positioning patients to provide quality imaging Skilled in starting and stopping IV's (using IV catheters) for contrast injection About Us Keystone Urology Specialists (KUS) as we know it today is the result of a long history of bringing about the right group of physicians beginning in 1946.
