80 an hour Responsibilities Reads and interprets docket specifications on work orders.
Reads and interprets layouts.
Accesses existing or builds new digital templates per work instructions.
Assigns approved pages to digital template for output to the plate.
Creates VPS Virtual Proof of imposition and performs QC check against the job work order.
Outputs imposed booked blue lines for quality check of imposed work.
Generates final CTP plate files for print sites.
Generates CIPS3 inking files for pressroom.
Coordinates any file related issues directly with the Prepress Desktop Specialist or local customer service.
Fields any file, workflow or system issues from local plate makers and escalates when necessary.
Troubleshoots problem files, determines cause and solution as it relates to imposing and plating functions, documents detail of problem and gives feedback to Account Manager.
Adheres to all SOPs specific to the Prepress Department.
Promotes and maintains a safe work environment.
Application Knowledge (Desired) Kodak Prinergy and Preps.
Adobe Acrobat Enfocus Pitstop Professional Epson Inkjet Proofers Proficient math and communication skills Requirements High School diploma or GED, general manufacturing experience required.
Attention to fine detail and high quality is expected.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision.
