Human Resources Generalist/Executive Assistant

Lancaster, PA Lancaster, PA Full-time Full-time $20 - $22 an hour $20 - $22 an hour 1 day ago 1 day ago 1 day ago HR Generalist/Executive Assistant needed who has experience and knowledge in a variety of disciplines including but not limited to HR, administrative support and standard operating procedures of a non-profit healthcare organization.
This position reports to the President and individual must possess values that align culturally with the Center's mission, vision and principles.
HR Generalist essential functions and responsibilities (70% of time) Assists managers with recruiting to fill all open positions by preparing job postings, screening resumes, assisting with interviews, extending offer to candidate, prepare employment letter, ensuring all required pre-employment documents and background clearances are in order.
Administers all aspects of the employment lifecycle from first day to exit including onboarding, file maintenance, benefits data entry, employee relations, providing accurate information and paperwork to payroll personnel.
Ensure COBRA compliance, new hire reporting, 401(k) enrollment and process employment status changes as requested.
Reconcile monthly invoices for employee benefits, enter data into functional distribution spreadsheet to submit to accounting department.
Serves as point person for all employee requests, benefit and policy questions, coordinates annual open enrollment benefit period, processes all documents and tracks FMLA leave as well as submits short & long-term disability and workers compensation claims.
Handles sensitive and confidential employee information in a professional manner.
Advises, counsels and assists managers/supervisors on employee relations, retention and disciplinary matters.
Processes terminations, exit interviews, ensures data/file is removed and participates in unemployment hearings, as requested.
Maintains Employee Handbook, job descriptions and organizational Policy Manual, revising, interpreting and applying policies and procedures as needed Tracks employee clearances and make sure we are complying.
Handles all worker compensation claims Maintains up to date compensation for center employees Handles all leave of absences Maintains ACA recordkeeping, tracking part-time employee hours to determine eligibility for benefits.
Performs other incidental and HR related duties as required and assigned and may identify and recommend new approaches that will improve efficiency of HR function.
Executive Assistant essential functions and responsibilities (30% of time) Provides administrative support to the President, maintaining daily calendar, schedule meetings and prepare correspondence as requested.
Independently prioritizes workload to ensure that all meeting agendas are prepared and distributed in a timely manner.
Attends, takes and types accurate minutes at general staff meetings, managers' meetings, committee and Board of Directors meetings.
This includes, but is not limited to, assembling and distributing agenda materials/reports, compiling handouts and coordinating meeting rooms.
Serves as custodian of corporate files/agreements, bylaws and Corporate Compliance Officer, while maintaining Board of Directors and administrative succession listings current.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned by the President.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
