-Mostweekends and holidays off.
-Partof an on-call rotation.
The General Maintenance Technician is responsible to coordinate and completeall maintenance tasks for Mennonite Home Communities.
This will involve planning,purchasing necessary materials, and performing general and skilled carpentry inaccordance with Mennonite Home Communities standards and Federal, State, andLocal codes.
This position will be performed in accordance with Mennonite HomeCommunities Core Values, Mission Statement, and regulations.
Qualifications:
HighSchool Diploma or equivalent Additionaltraining in cabinetmaking preferred but not required Five(5) years of general maintenance experience preferred Musthave a valid PA Driver's License for the past two (2) consecutive years RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Completeswork orders, renovations for smaller projects, and PM's in a timely manner Maintainsand repairs doors and door hardware, keys, and windows Utilizesa general knowledge of electrical and mechanical operations.
Diagnoses problemsand calls in the appropriate person and/or people to make repairs and resolvethe problem when necessary Possessesa knowledge of the fire alarm system as well as any other emergency alarmsystem(s)Mennonite Home Communities was founded in 1903,the Christ-based mission is to enrich the lives of residents, staff, and thecommunity.
