Apex Advertising is seeking a full-time Accounting Assistant in our Lancaster, PA office finance department.
This position works alongside the Director of Finance and performs daily accounting tasks to support the finance team.
This candidate will need to possess strong organizational and time management skills.
The ideal candidate will be a reliable teammate with the ability to make an immediate impact in our finance department.
Responsibilities:
Preparation of monthly bank account reconciliations and filing of sales tax returns.
Record and categorize expenses, verifying receipts and supporting documentation.
Issue required check, credit card, wire and ACH payments.
Post cash receipts and process bank deposits.
Analyze financial information and identify discrepancies.
Provide oversight on fixed asset reporting, including depreciation journal entries.
Prepare and record monthly journal entries and complete account reconciliations.
Help streamline processes and procedures.
Requirements:
2-4 years of relevant experience required.
Knowledge of bookkeeping Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Experience working in inventory systems and/or SAP Business One a plus.
Adaptable to changing processes.
A high level of comfort talking with clients and vendors on a regular basis.
High School Diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
